Weekly Bitcoin Meetup

The Weekly Bitcoin Meetup is a casual gathering in Raleigh for anyone interested in discussing bitcoin, starting at 6:30 PM on November 17, 2026. Newcomers are welcome, and there is no need to RSVP; people simply turn up.

Conversation covers every side of bitcoin, from those who are there for the investment to those drawn by the principles of sound money economics. The group usually sits at high-top tables near the bar in a restaurant, which makes it easy to arrive and leave when you like and to order food or drinks. Attendance has recently averaged 10 to 20 people.

The group asks for privacy to be respected, so photographing attendees is not allowed. Members do not ask one another how much bitcoin they hold. The meetup is about Bitcoin specifically; anyone mainly interested in a different coin is pointed toward starting a separate meetup.
