Find a Cofounder / Help or Join a Tech Startup
Find a Cofounder / Help or Join a Tech Startup is a free Zoom event, starting at 8:00 PM on December 24, 2026, for founders, developers, UX designers, marketers and anyone else in tech who wants to start, join or help a tech startup. It is run by Startup Oasis for Carolina Startup Founders & Tech Professionals. Founders pitch, but no money is awarded and no winners are named.
The session runs in three parts:
- Introductions: the first 10 minutes cover Startup Oasis's history, structure and future plans, and open signups for founders who want to pitch.
- Pitches: each founder gets up to 3 minutes. The suggested order is name, business, the problem, the solution, target customers, and the biggest challenge or current need.
- Breakouts: for the rest of the event, each founder has a breakout room where attendees can discuss the startup's needs in a small group.
To pitch, you must be a cofounder of a technology-based startup. Agencies, consultants, coaches, MLM schemes and nonprofits cannot pitch, but they can watch and join breakouts. Founders RSVP, then fill out a form when the event starts and raise a hand on Zoom, which sets the pitching order. A VIP ticket supports the organisers and guarantees a pitch spot. Newcomers to startups can simply watch. Anyone hoping to join a startup should take notes during the pitches and then join the breakout of the founder they want to help. According to the organisers, most founders need help with product development or go-to-market strategy.
Startup Oasis says attendance will always be free. Donations are taken through its website, and the organisers welcome conversations about volunteering or sponsorship. Guests can RSVP themselves or through the LinkedIn event listing. The organisers hold this event monthly in Atlanta and plan in-person versions in other cities on a future world tour. They are also looking for founders to interview, and people to interview founders, for short videos.
