Potpourri of board games

Triangle Game Night is a board game evening starting at 7:00 pm on November 6, 2026, where the organiser brings and teaches games they want to play. There is no overall theme or mechanic.

The organiser plans to bring these games:

• Hot Streak: a betting game for players who like to wager on and shout at racing mascots, who may or may not run the right way. Each player drafts two betting tickets, and each bet can be played safe or flipped to its risky side, which may pay more or cost money. Players then secretly add one of three cards from their hand to the racing deck.
• Betrayal at House on the Hill: players explore a haunted mansion they build as they go, meeting spirits and omens that point to their fate. It runs about one hour.
• Tyrants of the Underdark: a territory control game with deck-building. Each player leads a Drow house in the Underdark below the Sword Coast, and each card is a minion tied to one of five aspects of Drow society. Malice minions are strong at assassinating enemy troops, while ambition minions recruit more minions and promote them to an "inner circle" that raises their value at the end of the game.
• Making Monsters: players are mad scientists at the Monster Maker Science Fair. They secretly choose how many monster parts to order, then use push-your-luck bag-building to draw and assemble parts at the same time. Pushing too far can make a monster fall apart.

Anyone who wants to bring and play something else is welcome to.
