The Dancer's Workout®

The Dancer's Workout® is an in-person, one-hour adult dance fitness class at TDS / Triangle Dance Studio on November 14, 2026, starting at 11:45 a.m., for intermediate-level current and former ballet and jazz dancers. It is not a beginner's class and requires prior ballet training. Jazz sneakers or jazz slippers are preferred.

Each class opens with a careful warm-up and stretching, then moves into a dance cardio section built on original ballet, jazz and contemporary choreography set to pop songs. The last 10 to 15 minutes are "bikini bootcamp," choreographed toning exercises. The choreography builds through the hour and ends with a dance to a featured pop song. The class is aimed at former dancers returning to dance and active dancers who want to keep their flexibility and cardio stamina. The founder, Jules, is a classical ballet graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and founded the Adult Dance Alliance, a network of studio owners and adult dance instructors. Attendance is by RSVP on Meetup at www.meetup.com/The-Dancers-Workout. If the class is full, you can join the waitlist. Anyone whose plans change should update their RSVP right away so a waitlisted dancer can take the spot. New students who RSVP and do not show up lose their free first class, and existing students are charged. Anyone who changes their RSVP to NO less than one hour before the start is also charged.
