Agile Is Dead? Three Science-Based Trends to Master Today
This is an online talk by Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva on December 1, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., for Agile practitioners who want to understand how AI is changing their work. It argues that Agile itself is not dead, but some Agile jobs may be.
The session starts from the claim that AI is shortening development cycles, shrinking teams, and turning expertise into a commodity. In that market, guiding a team through change is no longer enough, and the people rewarded are those who help deliver outcomes. Zhexembayeva draws on 25 years of research into how organizations and professionals reinvent themselves to present three science-based trends and what to do about them. Attendees are asked to rethink what their role is, find where their value is shifting, and leave with practical ideas for reinventing before the market forces it.
Zhexembayeva founded the Reinvention Academy, created the Chief Reinvention Officer role, and runs the biennial Global Reinvention Survey. She was a mining executive for 14 years and has been a fractional executive for Eurasian Resources Group since 2012. She is a former Coca-Cola Chaired Professor at IEDC-Bled School of Management and earned her PhD at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. Her clients include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Coca-Cola, IBM, Cisco, and L'Oréal. Her book The Chief Reinvention Officer Handbook won the Axiom Business Book Award and a Kirkus Star, and her next, The Reinvention Advantage, comes out from Wiley on November 24.
