This is a guided 4-mile sunset hike for adults and older children, led by naturalist Julie, starting at 3:30 PM on Monday, December 7, 2026, from the Harrison Ave. parking lot at Umstead Park. The route is a loop along the Loblolly Trail to the Reedy Creek MUT, passing Reedy Creek Lake at sunset.
Hikers should meet by the restrooms at the parking lot. The walk is a general nature hike. Dress for the weather and trail conditions, and bring water and snacks.
It belongs to a series of Monday sunset hikes, which generally fall on the first Monday of each month. The organiser invites questions ahead of time.
