Activate Good’s 9/11 Remembrance Event through Volunteering (Cary Chamber of Commerce)

In 2026, we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11 with our annual 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance, turning reflection into meaningful action across the Triangle.

Our flagship Remembrance event for 9/11 Day will be held at John Chavis Memorial Park, bringing changemakers together for hands-on projects that support local nonprofits and meet real community needs. Inspired by the spirit of service that emerged in the days and years following 9/11, each project offers a tangible way to create impact.

Activate Good will also connect individuals, families, and employee teams to opportunities throughout the whole weekend, making it easy to step in and make a difference in a way that fits your schedule.

Whether you're showing up on your own or rallying a group, this is your chance to honor the past while strengthening the community around you.
